Surface mount retainer can be screwed to most doors allowing the use of most single Dart style gaskets. Retainer will add 9/32" thickness to the gasket area and will in most cases require hinges to be shimmed or a higher offset hinge. You must have 1-1/4" reveal around the outer edge of the door (where the existing gasket sits) to insure that the retainer will lie flat. Screws can be countersunk into the retaining groove for mounting. The gasket dart may be notched at the screw heads to allow proper fit.
